GUCE TOGO SUPPORTS THE AUTONOMOUS PORT OF LOME

Nov. 14 2022

The Single Window for Foreign Trade (GUCE) in Togo has greatly contributed to increasing the competitiveness of the autonomous port of Lomé (PAL).

What is the GUCE?

The Single Window for Foreign Trade (GUCE) is a dematerialized platform, accessible 24 hours a day via the Internet or private network, which connects all operators and users involved in international trade operations in Togo (import, export, transit, transshipment), whatever the type of transport.

What has been the contribution of the GUCE?

Operational for all cargo traffic since 2015, the Single Window for Foreign Trade (SWFT) has contributed to increasing the port's competitiveness by improving transparency, the business climate between trade actors, and by considerably reducing cargo processing times.

"This counter allows for better traceability of goods and directly connects customs, the Autonomous Port of Lomé, consignees and banks," stresses the Association of Large Enterprises of Togo (Aget), which recognises that these reforms have been particularly beneficial for the port.
